- The buyer is any natural or legal person who submits an electronic order through the e-shop.
- The consumer is a natural person who, when concluding and performing a consumer contract, does not act within the scope of their business activity, employment or profession.
- These Terms and Conditions form an integral part of a purchase contract concluded at a distance.
2. Conclusion of the purchase contract
-
Proposal to conclude a contract: The placing of goods on the website www.harnesstor.sk is regarded as the seller’s proposal to conclude a purchase contract.
-
Order: The buyer places an order by completing and submitting the electronic form in the e-shop interface. By submitting the order, the buyer confirms that they have read these Terms and Conditions and agree to them.
-
Confirmation of receipt: Immediately after submitting the order, the buyer will receive, at the buyer’s e-mail address, an automatic confirmation that the order has been received by the system. This confirmation is for information purposes only and does not yet constitute acceptance of the proposal to conclude a contract.
-
Formation of the contract: The purchase contract is deemed to have been concluded only at the moment when the seller confirms the order to the buyer (usually by an e-mail stating that the order is being processed or has been dispatched). From that moment, the order is considered binding on both parties.
-
Cancellation of the order: The buyer has the right to cancel the order without penalty until it has been confirmed by the seller.
3. Made-to-measure products and the right of withdrawal
-
Standard goods: When purchasing finished products (stock items without modifications), a buyer who is a consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason within 14 calendar days from receipt of the goods.
-
Extended return period: Goods from stock (without made-to-measure modifications) purchased between 1 November 2026 and 24 December 2026 may be returned by a buyer who is a consumer without giving any reason no later than 15 January 2027, where the statutory 14-day period would otherwise expire earlier. The extended period does not apply to products made to measure or to the buyer’s specifications (a different leather colour, different hardware, made-to-measure dimensions). The conditions and procedure for returning the goods are the same as for withdrawal from the contract within the statutory period.
-
Method of withdrawal: To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send the notice of withdrawal before the period expires. The buyer may withdraw by means of any clear statement, for example by e-mail to info@harnesstor.sk or by letter to the seller’s registered office. The buyer may use the model withdrawal form but is not obliged to do so.
-
Return of the goods: The buyer shall send the goods back to Matej Chmelár – Harnesstor, Lesnícka 2, 902 01 Pezinok, Slovakia no later than 14 days from the date of withdrawal from the contract. The buyer shall bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
-
Refund: The seller shall refund to the buyer all payments received from the buyer under the contract, including the cost of delivering the goods (up to the cost of the cheapest delivery method offered), no later than 14 days from the date on which the notice of withdrawal is received. The seller is not obliged to make the refund before the goods have been delivered back to the seller or until the buyer has provided evidence of having sent them back. The refund shall be made using the same means of payment as the buyer used, unless agreed otherwise.
-
Products made to special requirements: In accordance with Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on Consumer Protection, the buyer cannot withdraw from a contract, the subject matter of which is the sale of goods made to the consumer’s special requirements, made to measure or intended specifically for one consumer.
-
Definition for Harnesstor: Made-to-measure goods are all leather harnesses, handbags and accessories for which the customer has chosen specific dimensions, colour combinations or other modifications on request that are not part of the standard stock range.
-
Binding effect: By submitting an order for a made-to-measure product, the buyer acknowledges that they cannot withdraw from such a contract without giving a reason. Until the seller confirms the order, the buyer may cancel it in accordance with section 2.
4. Delivery and payment terms
-
Payment methods: The buyer may pay for the goods by bank transfer to the seller’s account or by payment card through a payment gateway. Prices are stated in euros (EUR).
-
Delivery times: As the seller makes the goods in its own workshop, the delivery time is stated individually for each product. For made-to-measure products, the period begins to run on the day on which the payment is credited to the seller’s account and the customer has supplied all the required measurements.
-
Method of delivery: The goods are delivered by Packeta and its partner carriers to 26 countries of the European Union (excluding Malta). Delivery methods and prices are set out on the page Delivery and Payment.
-
Receipt of the goods: The buyer is advised to check on receipt that the packaging is intact. In the event of visible damage, the buyer may refuse the parcel (at the pick-up point) or draw up a damage report with the courier (in the case of home delivery) and inform the seller.
5. Complaints procedure (liability for defects)
-
Warranty period: All goods sold are covered by a statutory warranty period of 24 months, unless stated otherwise. The warranty period begins on the day on which the buyer receives the goods.
-
Liability of the seller: The seller is liable for defects that the goods have at the time of receipt and for defects that appear in the goods during the warranty period of 24 months.
-
Exclusion of liability: The warranty does not cover:
-
Mechanical damage caused by improper use (e.g. excessive strain on the harnesses, contact with chemicals).
-
Normal wear and tear of the material (the natural patina of the leather, minor scratches caused by use).
-
Incorrect measurements taken by the buyer: For made-to-measure products, the seller is not liable if the product does not fit because of incorrect measurements provided by the customer.
-
-
Complaint procedure: The buyer may lodge a complaint during the warranty period, preferably by e-mail to: info@harnesstor.sk. Goods that are the subject of a complaint must be sent clean and securely packed to Matej Chmelár – Harnesstor, Lesnícka 2, 902 01 Pezinok, Slovakia.

-
Buyer’s rights: The buyer has the right of access to their data, the right to have it rectified or erased or its processing restricted, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic. Detailed information can be found in the separate document ‘Privacy Statement’ on our website.
7. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
-
A buyer who is a consumer has the right to contact the seller with a request for redress if dissatisfied with the way in which a complaint has been handled.
-
If the seller rejects the request or does not respond to it within 30 days, the consumer has the right to submit a proposal for the commencement of alternative dispute resolution to an ADR entity (e.g. the SOI or another authorised legal entity entered in the list kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic).
-
The competent ADR entity is the Slovak Trade Inspection (www.soi.sk, e-mail ars@soi.sk) or another authorised legal entity from the list kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. Alternative dispute resolution before the SOI is free of charge, and the possibility of bringing the matter before a court is not affected by it. The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was abolished as of 20 July 2025. Consumers resident in another EU Member State may also contact the European Consumer Centre in their country (European Consumer Centres Network, ECC-Net: https://www.eccnet.eu/), which provides free assistance with cross-border disputes.
8. Gift vouchers
-
8.1 The seller sells gift vouchers with a value of 20 €, 50 € and 100 €. The purchase price of a voucher is equal to its value.
-
8.2 After the payment has been credited, the seller shall send the buyer, to the e-mail address given in the order, a unique voucher code and a picture of the voucher for printing. The buyer is responsible for handing the voucher over to the recipient.
-
8.3 A voucher is valid for 12 months from the date on which the code is issued. The expiry date is stated on the voucher and in the e-mail. After expiry the voucher cannot be used and its value is not refunded.
-
8.4 A voucher may be redeemed once, for a single order in the online shop harnesstor.sk, by entering the code at checkout. No more than one voucher may be redeemed per order. If the order price is lower than the value of the voucher, the difference is forfeited and is not paid out; if it is higher, the buyer shall pay the difference by one of the payment methods set out in Article 4.
-
8.5 A voucher cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used to pay for another gift voucher.
-
8.6 A buyer who is a consumer may withdraw from the purchase of an unused voucher without giving any reason within 14 days of the day on which the e-mail with the code was delivered; the seller shall cancel the code and refund the price paid to the buyer in the manner set out in Article 3. It is not possible to withdraw from the purchase of a voucher that has already been redeemed.
-
8.7 If the buyer withdraws from a contract for goods paid for partly with a voucher, the seller shall refund the monetary part of the price; the value of the redeemed voucher shall be returned by issuing a new voucher with the same period of validity as the original voucher, but not less than 30 days from the date of its issue.
-
8.8 The voucher code is transferable. The seller is not liable for its loss or for its misuse by a third party; at the buyer’s request, the seller shall send the e-mail with the voucher again.
Final provisions
- Contractual relations between the seller and the buyer are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. Where the buyer is a consumer whose habitual residence is in another country, this choice of law does not deprive the consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of their habitual residence.
- These Terms and Conditions come into force and take effect on 3 November 2026.
- The seller reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions; the conditions in force at the time the order is submitted shall apply to the buyer.
